Popular Menu Items

Don’t think that just because Chop’t focuses on salads that their menu is going to be bland with a limited amount of choices. In fact, their menu options are as extensive as a traditional restaurant’s, which allows you to mix and match different flavors to create your own salad, or you can choose from one of Chop’t’s own creations.

Chop’t’s salads are suited for anyone’s tastes: you can mix a Caesar salad base with spicy chicken, add creole shrimp to a bed of cabbage and corn with a vinaigrette dressing, or you can go strictly vegetarian by adding lentils, quinoa, or beans for a little extra crunch with added protein. And the best part is, you can also choose to get any salad made into a wrap from whole-wheat flatbread. Yum!

Chop’t takes pride in it’s 19 homemade dressings. They use honey and agave nectar — never sugar — to sweeten their offerings, which range from traditional dressings such as balsamic vinaigrette, buttermilk ranch, and a steakhouse blue cheese, to more exciting fare like sriracha tzatziki, chili cashew, and a spicy tahini.

Soups are also available to create a satisfying combo.

Here are some favorites menu items to look for:

Classic Cobb

Cobb salads are a staple of any salad-lover’s meal, and the Cobb salad at Chop’t doesn’t disappoint. With antibiotic-free, organic grilled chicken, avocado, smoked bacon, blue cheese, and hard-boiled eggs on top of a bed of romaine lettuce, this classic shines, especially when paired with Dijon dressing.

California Steakhouse

A salad with steak? Yes, please! This popular choice features grilled, grass-fed steak, spicy peppers, and red onion on top of a romaine and Chop’t lettuce salad blend. There’s no way you’re leaving hungry ofter this one.

Texas Po’Boy

One of Chop’t’s ”bold” offerings, the Texas Po’Boy is a filling salad that has panko fried chicken, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese and charred onions with a romaine salad base. Chop’t recommends the Tex Mex Ranch to complete this salad, but it might be hard to choose between that and the Sweet & Smokey Chipotle Vinaigrette for the best Texas flavor.

Chop’t’s History

Founded in 2001 by foodie high school friends Tony Shure and Colin McCabe, Chop’t has always focused on people who like to know what they are putting into their bodies. All of their salads are under 800 calories, many under 500, making Chop’t a perfect restaurant for health-conscious eaters.

Since the first store opened in Manhattan, Chop’t has never been franchised. This helps to ensure that everything is done the same way, making each Chop’t location as great as the ones that came before it.
